Hey its been awhile since on this site. I have a question, up till now I have had no prob with loading cvs, and wav files till I got my new computer with windows 7. My question is when I use the POI loader at the end there is a window in the middle that say was not able to transfer wav file cause of wrong format. This is not my first rodeo, I have checked all the settings to make sure that the sox file is in place and I did reinstall it again, I also redid the mp3 file and converted it to a wav file again all the naming is correct and matches all the cvs extension and I reinstalled the POI loader. So I am now at a point where I need help it stills read wrong format.
Thanks for your help.
Make sure you download the sox.exe located here http://www.poi-factory.com/node/25730. Double check where you located the sox.exe . Also make your own wav to test with one of the files at. http://www2.research.att.com/~ttsweb/tts/demo.php
The folder with POI Loader also moved. It's under Program Files (x86) now.
Is it a mono file format?
The output file I use and they convert and install with POI loader with no problem is Wave PCM 16 bit, 44100 Hz, 705kbps, mono
SOX converts all the MP3 formats to the format needed by the Garmin without jumping through the mono pcm hoops.
Thank you that is where I went wrong put the sox file in program file(x86) folder and all is working
