Don't know if this was asked and answered.

When Did It All Start?

If the WHOIS database is correct, somewhere around August 10, 2006, but that could be incorrect.

Up & Running?

That's when the domain was registered. Was it up and running then?

When POI Factory first came on line

The page that mentions December 12th, 2005 was migrated from an earlier web site (www.RoadmapGPS.com).

The idea for POI Factory was born from the points of interest section started on RoadmapGPS. Eventually I closed and removed the old forum section from RoadmapGPS to focus entirely on POI Factory.

Here are some "official" dates for POI Factory:

August 10, 2006
registered the domain name

September 29, 2006
open to the public, first visitor registered

So our official anniversary date is September 29th.
