Kenwood Alert type - singe or continuous

I download the update every week and sometimes the continuous alert will give me a beep and text on the screen that shows the camera location as I drive closer to it. I'll get several BINGS the closer I get to it. In addition the text alert will become red in color as I get closer to the camera.
Other weeks when I load the update, I get one single BING and that's it even if I have the alert type as continuous.
My unit is a Kenwood DNX6990HD.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is the problem in the POI file or my Kenwood. Right now with the update from Wednesday the 17th it is behaving properly, the week prior on the 10th it did not...puzzled.

Am I alone having this issue

Am I alone having this issue or could it be a problem with my unit?

Are you using manual or express when loading the custom POI's?

I had a Kenwood unit and when I ran POI loader I just used the express mode where it uses all the default settings for distance etc. I used WAV files for both the red light and speed camera warnings. It would say something like "Slow down speed camera ahead" or "Warning red light camera ahead" about a quarter mile or so before I came to them and then repeat it again just before I got to them. Never had any problem and it always worked the same after every POI update.

Are the .wav files named exactly the same character string as the red-light and speed camera files on the left of the extensions?

I've done this over and over and had no luck getting it to work. Kenwwood tech support knows less about these units than I do, that's a total waste of a phone call. But thanks for the link.
