3597LMTHD delay

Played with a pre-production unit recently at a Garmin store. It will be worth the wait.

I think it's time to upgrade my 1450 for a 3597

I've found that Amazon's ship dates for new product is often optimistic at best and a wild guess at worst unless they have the product on their shelves.

I just got my new 3597 today and looking forward in testing the heck out of it.

Where did you get it this early?

I cancelled mine from Amazon and bought the magellan SmartGPS.

Got a marine buddy that works for Garmin

My 3597LMTHD us scheduled to arrive next week, according to my distributer friend.

Received Garmin Nuvi 2597 about 1 month ago. Would not find intersection but Garmin has since released a firmware update that took care of the problem. Still working on trips vs routes. Took a trip to Lancaster, PA last week and the only thing that I didn't like was that I didn't know that if you start a trip from another starting point, you have to go in and select up on the second via point unless you enjoy the gps telling you to turn the whole way. Took me 50 miles to find that one out but after I did, all went well. Everything else went well except for a mapping error when the gps told me to turn left when the arrow was showing right. I took the right turn. Did this on several occasions but the map was correct with the highlighted route.
