Looks Credible

Usually, I do not find that thenewspaper.com publishes credible articles, but this one seems to bear following.

http://www.thenewspaper.com/news/40/4019.asp#source

"StPeteCameras.org website ... obtained an unusually comprehensive database of red light camera ticket data from American Traffic Solutions. The data sees to indicate that the yellow timings on several intersections was shorter that what was required."

The data was to have been presented to the city council this morning, so we need to follow this.

When yellow timings are below what they should be, refunds are in order.

Another article

I am assuming that this is from the person who was to present data to the St. Pete city council on Feb 7

Why would ATS give it up?

I don't find it credible that ATS would give up any information. How was it really obtained?

You wouldn't think they

You wouldn't think they would give it up, but I would believe that some yellow lights are shorter than what they should be.

Short Lights

I live in N. Arizona. There was one intersection that seemed to be giving out a lot of tickets. One person timed it, went to court because it was way to short, and they had to give back all the money to the people that got tickets there. It has been changed now. To me, it appears it was made short to get revenue.
