Verizon

It would be cool to have where all the Verizon stores are in the different states. That way when you are on the road travelling, and have a issue with your cell phone, you know where they are to get it fixed. Same thing could go for AT&T and T Mobile.

There are apps for that on smartphones & tablets...

Someone was looking into this a while back.

Their site isn't very information friendly (for POI locations). Also, they are opening and closing sites all the time (at least here by me). Updating that POI would be a full time occupation!

But what if the reason you want to go there is the reason the OP stated, you "have a issue with your cell phone" and the apps can't work.

You can "what if" scenario upon scenario upon scenario until you turn blue in the face from hyperventilating... if my phone was broke, if I was away from home and needed to find a store... Chances are pretty good I would also have my iPad along, and would use that instead of my phone. Or I'd use a computer in a public library, or somewhere else long before I'd use my Nuvi.

I typed Verizon in on my gps

I typed Verizon in on my gps for points of interest. No problem finding them. May not be as updated as a private file but would serve its purpose.

verizon

My point to this request was for example if I traveled to Los Angeles and did not know anyone and I lost my phone, it was stolen, or it quit working, I would not know where to go to solve the issue. I am not familiar with the town, I dont know where a library is to use one of their computers,(and besides many libaries are now closed due to the budgets) and I might not be rich to have a 600 dollar I- pad with me. If typing verizon into the gps works, then great, I did not know that.
