nuvi 750 questions relating to storage capacity

new questions based on trying to update latest maps and finding 'not enough memory' for the full North American set.

Questions:

1) what is full size of complete NA map set?

2) what is internal memory size on nuvi 750

3) can entire or partial map set (i.e. overflow beyond capacity of internal memory) be put on SD memory cards

4) does the nuvi 750 care whether the cards are SD or SDHC?

5) is there a limit to the SD/SDHC capacity that the nuvi can understand?

North America & Mexico is 1,877,152 KB

2) what is internal memory size on nuvi 750

Yes

No, recognizes both SD & SDHC

5) is there a limit to the SD/SDHC capacity that the nuvi can understand?
I believe it's 16GB for sure, not sure if 32GB recognized with newer units.

Check footnote 2 in this link:

Since your nuvi will be given the option to install the full map update to a SD card, I suggest buying an inexpensive Sandisk 4 or 8GB SD card, install it to the 750, then perform the update where you'll choose to install the entire map to the SD.

Once done, remember that the SD is now part of the nuvi and removing the SD card will remove City Navigator from your device leaving you only with the unroutable, unsearchable BaseMap.

another option

Another option might be to create the map excluding Canada and Mexico.

Perhaps a map of only the USA will fit in the 750 with non-english language files deleted?

used an 8 gb Sandisk microSD card with adapter

and all of North America fit with no issues.....

card cost ~$10 on Amazon.

You are right, now is the time to do this for my 760.
