Voting For 2012 Contributors Of The Year

I had clicked on a former COW a while ago. I saw the "Vote for this guy" there.

There are way too many that have done good things where flipping a coin won't help. Maybe narrowing my list to 12 and rolling the dice will help.

This is definitely a difficult choice, hopefully the vote will end in a tie with many contributors ending with the same total votes.

The number of POI files maintained by a user was a significant factor in my vote, but I think more important was their interaction with other members. Did they help others? Was their help useful? Were they kind to other members? Although I must say that I don't think I've seen one unkind post in this forum, I don't know that I can say that about all of the other forums I participate in. There is really a lot of nice and helpful people here

that with over 300,000 members only 35 have voted. Not a good turn out so far. All active members let's get voting.

And there's a long time still to go before the end of the year.

Just reminding every one that can vote to do it now and not wait unul the last minute and them miss out.

To win this award it obviously takes a minimum of two votes. Yes a person can vote for who he or she wants to including themselves.

I think a poll (summary of users) who have recieved two or more votes would greatly improve the purpose of the above analysis.

Just a thought

Currently we're in what I am considering the nominating phase. As was done last year, we'll switch to leading vote getters later in the coming week.

For myself temporarily. I only wanted to see my name on the list with all of the awesome contributers. I like to think I contribute a little bit, but I have no delusions that my contributions are anything like the others on the list. I'm certain I won't be there when the list is people who have more than one vote, because I'm going to change my vote.

All the i/p is great and then some posts go the extra mile.

All in all, the contributors and problem solvers are recognized by the follow-up comments from those seeking the assistance.

I was thinking of a worthy candidate that did not have at least 3 votes yet. My vote did not bump him/her up, so I changed my vote back.

Note that I fully agree that Miss POI is lovely and was responsible for starting this great site. But she's not here anymore.

Come on folks place your vote and give the recognition to those that spent countless hours giving assitance to others in need.

Over 300,000 forum members and only 107 votes thus far is quite disappointing.

There are so many good ones on the list. Wish we could have the top ten contributors.
