Voting For 2012 Contributors Of The Year

It is time once again for the POI Factory community to select a contributor of the year!

Voting is now in progress and will run until midnight December 31st (Eastern Time).

Voting is open to General Maintainers only. You have to be a General Maintainer to vote, and you have to be one to get voted for.

Here is a link to a list of all the General Maintainers:

www.poi-factory.com/pfu/general-maintainer-list

You vote for someone by clicking the button that says "Vote for This User" on their user profile page.

How you voted is not visible to other users, but a summary of people who've received votes is available on this page:

www.poi-factory.com/pfvote/summary

You only get to vote for one person; however you can change your vote if you decide to vote for someone else.

This discussion thread is the place to mention good things about your fellow users' contributions in 2012.

Don't be shy. If you have general maintainer stars, cast your vote today!

~Angela

I may have been first.

I had clicked on a former COW a while ago. I saw the "Vote for this guy" there.

Too Many

There are way too many that have done good things where flipping a coin won't help. Maybe narrowing my list to 12 and rolling the dice will help. smile

I Agree Way Way Too Many

This is definitely a difficult choice, hopefully the vote will end in a tie with many contributors ending with the same total votes.

I voted...

The number of POI files maintained by a user was a significant factor in my vote, but I think more important was their interaction with other members. Did they help others? Was their help useful? Were they kind to other members? Although I must say that I don't think I've seen one unkind post in this forum, I don't know that I can say that about all of the other forums I participate in. There is really a lot of nice and helpful people here grin

Kind of Surprized

surprised that with over 300,000 members only 35 have voted. Not a good turn out so far. All active members let's get voting. smile

Only (current) General Maintainers can vote, and the page at

http://www.poi-factory.com/pfu/general-maintainer-list

lists 425 of us.

.

And there's a long time still to go before the end of the year.

Aware of both Comments

Just reminding every one that can vote to do it now and not wait unul the last minute and them miss out.

Ok. But that's not what your post said.

suggestion

To win this award it obviously takes a minimum of two votes. Yes a person can vote for who he or she wants to including themselves.

I think a poll (summary of users) who have recieved two or more votes would greatly improve the purpose of the above analysis.

Just a thought smile

Currently we're in what I am considering the nominating phase. As was done last year, we'll switch to leading vote getters later in the coming week.

I Voted, For Myself

For myself temporarily. I only wanted to see my name on the list with all of the awesome contributers. I like to think I contribute a little bit, but I have no delusions that my contributions are anything like the others on the list. I'm certain I won't be there when the list is people who have more than one vote, because I'm going to change my vote.

Voting For 2012 Contributors Of The Year

So many people have taken the time this year to help me, its very difficult to vote.

All the i/p is great and then some posts go the extra mile.

I voted but I could have voted for at least another 5-6...

All in all, the contributors and problem solvers are recognized by the follow-up comments from those seeking the assistance. grin grin

I changed my vote.

I was thinking of a worthy candidate that did not have at least 3 votes yet. My vote did not bump him/her up, so I changed my vote back.

My vote goes to the lovely Miss POI since she makes the whole site possible.

Has it been awhile since you have read the posts on the site?

Note that I fully agree that Miss POI is lovely and was responsible for starting this great site. But she's not here anymore.

Last Day To Vote

Come on folks place your vote and give the recognition to those that spent countless hours giving assitance to others in need.

Over 300,000 forum members and only 107 votes thus far is quite disappointing.

COY/COW

This week, we will focus our attention on Contributor of the Year in lieu of the regular contributor of the week.

Voting for COY ends this evening at 12am Eastern!

JM

Tough call!

Numerous people worthy of recognition. Happy New Year!

Not 12am is it?
