The Red Light and Speed Camera files are delivered as CSV (comma separated value) files and must be converted to the OV2 file format before installing them on your TomTom device.

Downloading and Converting: Windows

The free ov2optimizer utility lets you automatically convert the camera files to OV2 format as you download them. After ov2optimizer is installed you can point your web browser to the cameras page, click on the download link for the desired camera file and tell your browser to "Open" it with ov2optimizer.exe. Once the conversion is complete you will be prompted to save the OV2 file to your preferred location (e.g., directly to your maps folder on older TomTom devices that appear as a removable drive when connected to your computer).

Downloading and Converting: Mac

Downloading and converting the camera files on a Mac computer is a two-step process:

1. Click the download link for the desired camera file, choose "Save" when prompted by your browser, and save the CSV file to a convenient location on your hard drive.

2. Browse over to

http://www.samposoft.com/tools/default.aspx

In the lower section under "Poi Maker", click the "Browse..." button beside "Upload .csv file", choose the camera file you just downloaded, then click the "Convert" button on the right-hand side of the web page. When the conversion is complete you will be prompted to save the OV2 file where you like.

Loading the OV2 file(s) onto your TomTom
