thanasi2471 - Way back in 1968, I bought a Plymouth Road Runner with a 383cubic inch, 335hp engine. I took it out on the Natchez Trace Parkway (was living in Tupelo, Mississippi back then), got a running start and clocked it through a measured mile. I hit 132.6 mph and buried the speedometer needle (which maxed out at 120). The front end of the car started to float, so I let off the gas, even though it appeared to have more acceleration available. It scared me a bit, so I never tried to drive that fast again. Now, when I approach 80mph, I start to get a bit nervous. Old age has set in.
