I found that it is more accurate than normal GPS mode but you tend to lose the signal sometimes more easily...I BELIEVE THIS IS BECAUSE THERE ARE ONLY 2 SATELLITES COVERING WAAS AT THE MOMENT as compared to about 12 satellites covering the normal GPS signal.

I'm thinking that you mean WAAS/EGNOS.
Basically, it's a system of ground stations that provide GPS signal corrections, giving you even better position accuracy.
WAAS is for North America. And EGNOS is for Europe.
