speed cameras in Montgomery county Md

Seems like Monkey county has a finite set of speed cameras that they are constantly shuffling around the county. I've seen these devices installed one week at one place then removed and put somewhere else.

For the record, these devices are avout 2 feet square and about 3 1/2 feet tall, usually silver sometimes green.

What gives? it certainly makes the speed camera files hectic.

anyone else noticing this behavior?

Some are

Often they are cameras posted near public schools, as in our area. Sometimes they are mobile cameras used in highway construction zones, but most are located where their revenue stream has the biggest payoff.

MD, & in particular, Monkey County, likes as many revenue streams to add to substantial taxes at every level possible - and the populace remains silent!

incorrect RLC and/or speed camera data for Montgomery County?

In Montgomery County, I noticed that several RLC locations are incorrectly listed as speed cameras in the Speed Camera file, which isn't the case. The data entries for these cameras all say "speed ??" or "R/speed ??".

I've noticed several speed camera warnings, but after taking a little time to wander around the area sometimes they are on side streets
