Wow, the forum is slow.

Why is the forum so slow for the last week, or two? I have a 10/1 connection, and this is the only site that crawls to load.

It's worse than my 3G connection on my phone. What's up, JM? Were changes made to servers?

Must be that Canadian filter that homeland security put in place.

Speed is fine here in Tampa.

I haven't noticed any

I haven't noticed any problems either. Everything looks fine and normal as usual.

a few slow periods

There haven't been any recent changes on the servers, but I've notice a few slow periods as well.

Some appear to be due to spambot activity, so yesterday and today I went through the logs and blocked a bunch of IP addresses that were generating the extra traffic.

It's fine here.

Internet Traffic Report

Currently, 2 of the 4 main router in Canada are down right now. Depending on which websites you go to, there could be additional lag since it has to re-route around those two.

Just a thought.

I've noticed it too. Some of the larger POI downloads are taking twice the time as they used to.

I haven't found it happening with my other primary sites so it must be related to this forum.

It's cause of all the news coming from your home town.
One fire, all that rain, body found, police getting fired at and so on. Every one is talking, bogging down the Internet. Just kidding, I found the same thing, but not just here. Even my e-mail has bin slow. I have a 10 Mbps connection, I normally have no lag.

Just because we can 't run fast anymore, or do other things fast, doesn't mean we can't click & drag and read fast ! - that's providing we can remember where we left our glasses !
