Trip files on Nuvi 2450

I have a Nuvi 2450.

I have two trips on the 2450 that I want to put on my computer and work on them in Mapsource.

The only way I have been able to find these two files on my 2450 is to show all files and under system there is a folder called "Trip" The two files are in number format with an extention ".trip"

I can not find them anywhere else on the 2450 and I can not open these files with the .trip extention.

Does anyone know how to get these two files to my computer in a format that Mapsource can read?

Try this

Open Mapsource on your PC. Connect your gps to the PC. Using the toolbar, select transfer. Then click receive from device.

Yes, that's what I do, too, and it works fine. Be sure that "Tracks" is checked as the item to be transferred. I suppose BaseCamp can do the same but I'm trying very hard to avoid using it as long as Mapsource is around for me.

Found trip log

Thank you both very much, I found the ones I need in gpx arcives (almost deleted them eariler) so I opened the one I need.

Now that I have the trip tracks in Mapsource, how do I make a route with it?

You can't convert from tracks to routes in Mapsource. I think the user hostile replacement Base Camp can, but I've never explored how to do it. I'm pretty sure it's one of the options.

Not sure if I want to try Base Camp again. Wasted a lot of time on it.

I will have to just remake the trips using the tracks.
