Just happened to run across this in Garmin.
A recent thread was asking about the same POI in built-in and Custom POI. Based on this, the number of duplicate coordinates is not a problem.
"What is the maximum number of points that can have the same coordinate location in a single custom POI file?
Answer:
There are many different reasons why there would be more than one Custom Point of Interest (POI) with the same coordinate location. Examples of this would be multiple businesses in one building or contacts in the same apartment or office building where each business or contact has their own POI but the same location.
The maximum number of points with exactly the same coordinates that will load to the Garmin GPS unit is 127 in each .csv or .gpx file. To work around this limitation there are two options.
Change one of the last digits in the coordinates so the location is different
Create multiple .csv or .gpx files

I have the RLC and Speed Camera POI's from this site. I found some duplicates (a RLC has the same coordinates in the SLC file). They alerted one after the other. No other problems.
I told Globeturtle, but have not received a response yet.

David, that is because many cameras perform both functions of red light and speed violations. I know the RLC cameras in Cedar Rapids Iowa also issue speeding tickets. The concept is to discourage people from speeding up to "beat the yellow" and avoid a red light violation. Whether it is effective or not is another question.

why my alerts go off when I approach a red light camera, but indicating that it is a speed camera. Thanks for clarifying the confusing.
