Yep - by the time I noticed

Yep - by the time I noticed it, it was gone...

This can be called a deal

We do not have Sames Club here.

I think any Nuvi for under

I think any Nuvi for under $100 is a very good deal.

Also keep in mind that one can not buy from Sam's club until one pays a yearly membership fee. But, for those who are already members, it is an excellent deal.

Limited memory

Also keep in mind, the 1XXX has limited memory ... Garmin just recently started allowing folks to download map updates to an SD card because there is not enough internal memory in the GPS.

So, you'll have to jump through a few hoops with each map update ... given that each map update gets bigger and bigger.

Garmin 205, 260W, 1450LMT, 2460LMT, HEREwego for iPhone ... all still mapping strong.

More hassle than it's worth

Good advice on this model. I almost bought this at Amazon at $119, but am glad that I went with 2490LMT for $179 at Costco.

Crazy how quickly the prices drop

It is disheartening to think I paid $399 for it when it came out.

Don't feel so bad

Yes, but think of how much use you've had out of it.
(That's what consoles me when I find stuff like this out.)

I paid $3700 for a 37" flat screen when they first came out. sad Now they're about 4 for a buck.

Would have been a terrific deal !

Especially since the cost of the Lifetime maps is $66 plus you get the free traffic.

That means effectively you are paying about $13 for a 5" Nuvi .

You can pick up a 4 GB SD card dirt cheap to put Custom POIs, Maps and JCV files on.

Had I seen it I probably would have picked up a spare or given it for a gift !

Going to Sams today anyway so will check around !

MrKenFL- "Money can't buy you happiness .. But it does bring you a more pleasant form of misery." NUVI 260, Nuvi 1490LMT & Nuvi 2595LMT all with 2014.4 maps !

No problem...

If you didn't get one don't be sorry.. If you did get one unfortunately you may be sorry...bad unit from Garmin.
