nuvi 2450LM - new @ $108.99 with free S&H - SOLD OUT

Nowhere is there any mention of the warranty, and it says to contact the seller regarding the warranty.

I've never used a warranty through Garmin, but I did exchange a unit right after getting it because it froze up, so it may be something to consider.

Could possibly be off shore items which would not be covered by Garmin under warranty. Not saying this is the case but I would be careful....I would contact Garmin before buying to be sure they are a legitimate seller...

As I stated in a previous post, I've purchased from Beachcamera.com before and got good service.

Now regarding the price of 108.99 on their Ebay ad.
If you go to their main site the same unit sold by them is 159.00.

That's a big difference, so why so cheap on Ebay where they have to pay listing and Paypal fee's.

As far as warranties go I know Garmin does not warranty any products purchased on Ebay.
Following as per Garmin:

"Online Auction Purchases: Products purchased through online auctions (this does not apply to purchases made on www.garmin.com) are not eligible for warranty coverage. Online auction confirmations are not accepted for warranty verification. To obtain warranty service, an original or copy of the sales receipt from the original retailer is required. Garmin will not replace missing components from any package purchased through an online auction."

Beach Camera is a retailer and will provide a receipt, however, this is a gray area and I'm not sure Garmin will honor a warranty should something go wrong. It would be wise to call Garmin and ask before making the purchase.

After reading the Ebay ad more closely it does in fact state
"Do All Of The Products You Sell Carry A Warranty?

In the ad it also states
"Condition: Brand new, USA Warranty"

Based on this information I would purchase one if this is a model I had interest in.

It states a limited supply is available. I think 1,723 may get an email saying sold out...sorry.LOL just seems like something isn't right. Maybe Garmin is dumping a large quantity.

Or it could be like Barnes&Noble. They recently had a "limited supply" of refurb nook color and nook simple touch ereaders on eBay: $130 for the nook color with free S&H and you had the option to add a NST for $20 more. Over 5,000 were sold and reports came that folks were receiving their pair of devices three days after making payment.

Unless someone orders this GPS through ebay and reports back with their experience, we're all just guessing.

I ordered one through EBay last night, I got a shipping confirmation this morning with a FedEx tracking number. I know it hasn't left their location yet but it should ship tomorrow. I'll post again when or if I get the unit.

I bought two units and also got a shipment confirmation. I live in NJ and have been buying from Beach Camera since the 1980's. They are an up and up company. Bought my first computer from them back in 1989; Windows 3.1 and DOS!!!

I ordered from the above link & my 2450LM arrived yesterday. It was exactly as described (new, all accessories included) & I was able to register with Garmin to update the map. About the warranty statements..it was sold through the eBay marketplace but not listed as an auction. Also, the in box invoice makes no mention of eBay; it's as if I ordered directly from Beach Camera. I've never had to make a warranty claim with Garmin, but based on their proof of purchase requirements, I don't think there would be an issue.

As I've stated before I've made several purchases from Beach Camera (no GPS's) and was always satisified with the products and fast shipping.

You will not have any problems should you need warranty work since Beach Camera is an authorized Garmin dealer.

Since your invoice does not indicate it was an Ebay auction, that removes any doubt Garmin will honor the warranty.
