Good Grief ! It's Thursday already. Time flies when you're having fun. Packing for a 30 day trip to Taiwan. Fun, Fun, Fun, till her daddy takes his rickshaw away. Family anxious to see us - been five years.

New Member

Hello everybody. I just bought my first in-vehicle GPS system. I've had a Garmin Legend C(handheld)for many years and have enjoyed it for hiking and back-packing. I've not used the POI files for it so I have a lot of learning to do. I wanted to join a group so I could pick your brains and learn how to get the most out of my investment. I just wanted to say Hi and let you all know I'll be lurking about. Thanks, Larry.

Look around and don't be shy to ask questions. I see you have a 1450. Many of us have similar units.

Last time I bought diesel (December 2011) it was around 3.89 a gallon in Western PA. Wonder what it is now?

Texas Rain

I have been a Winter Texan for about 3 months and the weather has been really great. On this daylight saving time weekend the weather is the pits. Yesterday 80 today 40 and no relief for a couple of days. have a great weekend

edit: Just checked $3.759 - $3.809 typically in DB area today !

I usually find that "gas buddy" is more up to date on pricing.

Thanks for the link. I watched Good Morning America a few days ago. They were saying gas was 5 bucks in FL.
GMA is a poor choice to catch up on the news.

There are a few gas stations, most near the Orlando Airport, that are gouging tourists returning rental cars. ~$5.89/gal

Dolphins, too

We had a large group of dolphins beach this week in Tampa Bay. They got confused by the warm water caused by the unusually warm winter this year and just came in too close to shore. A large group of folks helped to push them back out into the Gulf of Mexico. Looks they are all going to maker it.
