Nothing new there, ADS-B based on GPS, has been a major component of NextGen for well over a decade. But don't look for radar to go away completely, or at all anytime soon.

Look out for drones--

Also look out for drones 400 feet above your house

(the black helicopters have been there for a long time...)

And NextGen - ADS-B has been the "technology of tomorrow" for a long time now! Maybe, just maybe, it will become the "technology of today."
