my 2350LMT seems to have an issue rebooting itself..

the unit is only a few weeks old, has the latest maps and software. I have noticed 4x today that while doing a traffic search that the unit reboots than boots back up again..have noticed this before.

Any suggestions? This a common problem? Did some searches etc, but not sure what to try...Garmin support is also closed for the weekend...

Backup

@redsfan,
Make sure you do a backup of your Favorites before you do the Master Reset.

I have to travel on business

I have to travel on business this weekend so will see if it acts up again..probably worth a phone call at the least to garmin and see what they say (or don't say LOL)..do I lose my updated maps?

can't find a thread here how do to a master reset on this model..the manual calls it erasing user data..this the same thing as a rest?

Maps will be fine

No, you won't lose your map update. The erasing user data is not the same thing.

I don't have the 2350 so I'm not sure at this point. Many Garmins have you hold the bottom right corner of the screen while powering up the GPS.
Use Basecamp or Mapsource to save your Favorite, tracks, and routes first though. So just before leaving on a trip is NOT a good time to try something like this if you've never done it before. It will wait until you return.

had a couple of similar

had a couple of similar speed trap files on my unit, perhaps that is causing some confusion LOL...I deleted one so will test this weekend.

Found a thread on here showing how to save/backup the .gpx file for fav's, so did that for now...

Check the Diagnostic Page/Shutdown Causes

Check the Diagnostic Page on the GPS, locate Shutdown Causes, this may help on why the GPS is shutting down, to access the Diagnostic Page, go to View Map, tap on View Map, tap on Speed, locate the speedometer, press and hold with finger on the center of the speedometer for approx. 5 seconds, then the Diagnostics Page will appear.

did that but no diag. screen

did that but no diag. screen comes up on the 2350

Are you pressing down with your finger and holding for 5 + seconds on the speedometer with the compass, which is between trip A mileage and trip B mileage on the TRIP DATA SCREEN, all you have to do is press and hold your finger anywhere in the speedometer, the shape of the speedometer is like a half circle. I'm being specific on the speedometer, just want to make sure you are not holding your finger on the Speed indicator on the bottom right corner of your map, this is the wrong location.

yes I was holding it down on

yes I was holding it down on the bottom right of the map screen, the speed indicator....when back in my car tomorrow I will go to the trip data screen and try that way, thanks.

Oddly, a 2.5 hour trip today, playing a bit with Traffic Search, no reboot...I had conflicting Speed Trap files running until last night, so not sure if this was my issue...

found the diagnostic screen

found the diagnostic screen but the only option I had was to monitor it or something..

that being said I got through to garmin and they had me install the webupdater and there was an update for traffic...we will see if this solves the issue...

On my 2350LMT, Diagnostics Page, It shows.. Clear all user data, Shutdown Causes, Developer Info, Developer tests, Diagnostic Logging, and Demo Mode. I'm using software version 3.30

I found the screen, but

I found the screen, but didn't see the shutdown causes option, odd..I should look again.

That being said used the Webupdater last night which found a Traffic update for me and installed...used and tested lots today and no reboots...

Maybe this was the issue...
