We spent the two days leading up to Christmas and Christmas day at the beach her in So. Cal. The water temperature was cold, probably around 60, but still was fine. The hot sun felt great as we laid on our towels.
Yesterday, as we sat in the outdoor Jacuzzi, we watched a flock of turkey vultures jockey for position in the trees. Last night, I saw several white, cotton tail rabbits in their nightly routine eating from well manicured grass. It's morning now and are windows are open, I can hear the birds chirping outside and it looks like blue sky as the sun is just beginning to rise.
Chicago has had the best weather this winter than I can ever remember, and I am old. Only 1 snow really that lasted a few hours on the grass. Next 4 or 5 days are going to be high 40's to 50's. What a complete pleasure to start 2012 this way.
