Detroit Lions (10-6) have not been to the NFL playoffs since 1999, only have one playoff game win (in 1991) since their last NFL championship in 1957 (before my time). Needless to say, we (Lions' fans) are pretty excited about tonight's away football game against the New Orleans Saints (13-3) on NBC in the first round of the NFL playoffs.
We have one of the top offenses in the NFL this season behind quarterback Matthew Stafford (5038 passing yards & 41 touchdown passes) and wide receiver Calvin Johnson (1681 receiving yards & 16 touchdown catches). If the defense has a good game today, we could come away with the win.
Could have played this game outdoors in Detroit area today, no snow on the ground and mostly sunny with high temperatures above 40F.

That Denver/Pittsburg game was sure exciting. I was hoping for a longer overtime game...wasn't expecting Denver to win with the first play. Looking forward to the San Francisco/New Orleans game though...Go Niners!

Chicago has had the best weather this winter than I can ever remember, and I am old. Only 1 snow really that lasted a few hours on the grass. Next 4 or 5 days are going to be high 40's to 50's. What a complete pleasure to start 2012 this way.
