Received price alert this morning that the Nuvi 2460LMT is once again on sale for the 199.99 they had last month.
I missed that one but just placed my order.

As a side note I've been watching another site that has it for 229.99 with free shipping, no tax, and a TWO YEAR guarentee. Maybe the price will drop with Black Friday & Cyber Monday.
I emailed Garmin and asked if this was an authorized Garmin Dealer and they confirmed. I also asked about the guarentee being two years, below is response I received:
Thank you for contacting Garmin International.
Garmin will accept Proofs of Purchase from this dealer for warranty purposes. As you stated, Garmin's Warranty covered the first year of use and included accessories. The second year of the advertised warranty would be covered by the dealer or some third party.

IMO the extra $30 for the extended warranty is not necessary, if the unit has problems you will see them early in the first year warranty.

But if the price had droped to match Amazon's I may have gambled. Actually it's not 30.00 more since I had to pay tax at Amazon($17.25) so the toatal came to $217.24.
At AutonavDirect total cost was $234.94 that included the 4.95 shipping. Only $ 17.70 more for the 2nd year guarentee.

I doubt they would price match an online retailer. perhaps a brick & mortar store.
Since it's unopened, why not just return it.

$190. plus 7.75 shipping, I don't beleive they charge tax for out of New York state. I've been to their store, they are relaible and in business for many yeras.

There's nothing wrong with my Nuvi 750 and I'm willing to bide my time, but I seem to have the fever.
I have a camelcamelcamel.com price watch on for the Nuvi 2495LMT, (its feature set's a little more useful for me than the 2360 & 2460) Willing to wait until it drops underneath the $200 price point.

Actually it is the reverse, Amazon only collect taxes in a few States and soon you can add California to the list.
You can't expect to live in a State controlled by Progressives (liberals with your money) and not have your pockets picked.

I hear ya loud and clear, we've been having picked for as long as I remember.
What ticks me off is you buy a new car and pay over 1,700 in state tax on it. Sell it and the new owner has to pay sales tax again. The second owner sells it and the third owner pays tax on it once again.

Received a Costco flyer yesterday that said the 2460LMT would be on sale starting on Dec 1st for "$30 off". It didn't show the actual price. I'm not sure what the 2460LMT normally sells for at Cosco and it isn't listed on their web site.
