Lost Ability To View Maps in Extra POI Editor

For some reason I have lost the ability to view POI locations in EPE when using the tab "View All POIs On Map". I have never had a problem with this before but now it is not working. I do get the Google US/Canada map but the points do not appear on the map regardless of file size number of points. I do wait until I see the map view in the 4 panel frame before attempting to use the tab to see all the POI points. I have waited up to 10 minutes to see what happens and nothing.

I have tried this in released version 4.88 and beta 5.29, I have reinstalled the program, rebooted and all I get is the Google North America map and the column on the right of all the POI locations. If I click on one of the locations it will pinpoint on the map.

I moved over to my lap top and tried everything again with the same results.

Any ideas?

I think Google mucked around

I think Google mucked around with the API, because I know for a fact that the view all POI function worked properly on 4.88.

Same problem here!

It is not working on any version anymore. I guess I will ahve to find out what is the problem.

So far, I found that the markers used for ViewAll POI on Map are not on google anymore. For example, here's one of the missing marker:

I need to them (or others) and put them on my wiki and change the link in the script.

No small icons on google apps

I have looked at google examples and they still use the same type of markers. Maybe the site is down only for a short period. We'll see if it persists.

Google Labs Shutdown

Google announced in July that they were shutting down Google Labs.

Any previously-valid page on http://labs.google.com that I try gets a 404 error (not found).

EPE v5.30 with new markers...

is back

I'm running V4.88 and lost the ability to View All POIs on Map, never got around to install the version with the fix and just out of habit went to look on Map and it is back, just as good as before google broke it.

They woke up...

They probably realized that those markers were used everywhere by everyone. It may have been easier to restart the server for a while.
