After I load the Red Light Cameras in

I have installed the Red Light Cameras POI into my Nuvi 660

Will they be installed into the main map screen or do I have to select the POI file every time I want to see them? This also goes for all POI's, do they need to be individually selected to see them?

Thanks in advance

viewing POIs

Camera locations will normally be shown as an alert message when you get closer than about 1300 feet. (This is POI Loader's default setting.)

Some older Garmin models (e.g., 2610) could display POI icons on the map as you were driving, but I haven't seen this feature on newer models like nuvi 660 or i2. I read elsewhere that someone who asked tech support was told it wasn't possible on nuvi 350. Based on the manual, it seems that the same might be true for nuvi 660.

Features like this sometimes change with firmware updates. You may want to check with Garmin to verify the situation for current firmware versions.

Related info -- locations that are entered as Favorites (aka waypoints) *are* shown on the map while driving.
