Wav files on Garmin 1450

Having a problem in loading wav files on a 1450. Using the latest POI loader with Sox,exe( 14.0.1) inserted into the same folder as the POI loader. When using the POI loader to send the file to the GPS I get no indication of Sox involvement in the process. I just get a message that Poi loader successfully loaded the file. When looking at the POI on the GPS the window indicates the alert set for ,2 miles. Looking at the properties of the POI on the GPS says that the file size is 2K which is the approximate size of the GPX and BMP files. The wav file which I am trying to transfer is 959K so it is apparent that the POI loader is not transferring it. Any suggestion would be appreciated. The wave file was generated using Audacity and appears to be the correct format.

Name?

Perhaps the name of the .wav file is not the same as that of the .gpx (or .csv) file EXCEPT for the extension, OR you may have double extensions.

To eliminate the possibility of double extensions, follow the procedure
http://www.poi-factory.com/node/30393

Once you have verified that your computer settings are correct, then verify that the name of the .wav file is the same as that of the POI file.

For example if the POI file is named
myfirstpoifile.gpx
then the .wav file would be named
myfirstpoifile.wav
and your .bmp file would be named
myfirstpoifile.bmp

Thanks for your response. I was set up to read hidden files. All of the files have the same name except for the extension.
Is there supposed to be any indication about the action of the sox.exe fiie when using the POI Loader?

I tried to open the Sox.exe file and all I see is a very quick flash on the screen.

Mode

When you used the POI loader, did you choose express mode instead of manual?

I used manual mode

I am running Windows 7. I assume sox is compatible also.

no indications

there are no indications SOX is working. the only way to see if it did work is to run a sim past a point or actually drive by a trigger point. Yes, it works with w7. I use it

My sox.exe and poiLoader.exe are inside the Garmin folder. Btw, I have a 1490T using Windows 7 64-bit.
