Garmin Nuvi 650 screen freezes

I own a Garmin Nuvi 650 GPS and I have not usd it for a year now. So I recharge it to give it a boost but after charging it, the screen freezes. I press the power button and it asks for my security password and I can't even type my password as the cursor blinks and I can't type. I tried resetting it and it did not solve the problem. I tries hard resetting by putting the device off and then hold the right hand corner of the screen while pressing the power button and it would not reboot. Any solutions to this?
Touchscreen
When you touch the screen to enter the password, do you hear the audible tone? If not, the touchscreen may have gone bad. This is a know problem with the 6xx series. I had to have the touchscreen replaced in my 660 several months ago.

I have the same problem with my nuvi 350.
I don't know if it worth it to replace the screen. My 2 cents.

Depends On Your Usage
Granted, to some users it would not be worth it. To me it was. I frequently use the mp3 player function to listen to music on long trips and all the newer models are made withOUT an mp3 player. I wanted my 660!
It's a matter of personal preference.

MP3 Player
I have MP3 Player on my 855 but, don't use it. I have satellite radio in our travel vehicle and that is what I use. Get all the music I want.
