There was another thread on the cameras being reactivated in Houston with differing sets of statistics. One showed accidents went up when the cameras were installed, another showed accidents went down immediately after the cameras were turned off. Then still another set of reports came out showing accidents had again climbed to even higher numbers. It only goes to show one thing - people in Houston are really lousy drivers.

Illiterate? Write for free help.

houston - all about safety

Just because there was a ballot initative that passed banning the cameras, doesn't mean that the liberal democrats that run Houston actually have to follow the law. It's really, really only about "safety" and has absolutely nothing to do with the money, really.

Hey...you guys in Houston should consider yourselves lucky.

The mayor and city council just ignore you and your votes. In Longview, Wa go file a voter signed petition for a referendum on redlight cameras, and the city council will SUE you for damages for filing the petition!

So, Houstonians, consider yourselves lucky...and warned.

Sometimes you're better off being ignored.
