c 330 problems

i owned a c 330 for 2 years and i am on my third unit garmin has been great about fixing or sending me a new unit but this is gettin old problems consits of unit will not run on the battery it has to be plugged into the car or the usb cable to power up . the second issue is the unit will take 15 min to aquire the signal and if the unit has a route in it and the unit is turned off the route is lost i leave the unit on my windshield 24\7 . these are the issues i have had with all my c 330 anybody else have any similar issues.

C330

Had my C330 for over a year - no problems at all !
Sounds like you need a new battery - not holding charge and losing routes stored in memory when you shut it down ! Mine will run 6-7 hours easily on battery power !
Also - you leave it on 24/7? Does your power outlet in car shut down when engine not running ???? But, the C330 SHOULD shut down by itself in 30 seconds after losing external power.
Might want to shut C330 down when not travelling !
Just my thinking !!!!!!!!

There's a battery Replacement procedure...

... documented here.

Presumably the 15 mins issue, is just because it's forgotten whereabouts in the world it is - and it's starting from scratch everytime?...

c 330 problems

I haven't had that problem. The only problem I have with my C330 is that I have had to recalibrate the touchscreen a couple of times.

It's not a dumb question. MAke sure your device is off. Press and hold the power button for about 30 seconds and the calibration screen will come on. Touch the black dots and the screen will be calibrated.

My first one died soon

after I got it, but my current one has been running fine for 2 years... smile

Knock...

Bought one for my wife.

Gave it to my wife for mother's day. The only problem she had was when she got off track to check out a side road, the system re-routed her through a part of town that was possibly not the safest area around.

I guess that could be a good or a bad thing . . . depending on if you get along with your wife.

;o)

Rather drive through a bad

Rather drive through a bad part of town then waste gas trying to figure out how to get where I am going and running out of gas in the bad part of town.
