Routing Crazy Since Last Update

I have a 7200 which I use in the Truck vehicle routing. Since the last update my routes are nuts. I always check them with a truckers atlas. More than several of the road it has directly me to turn onto are small residential roads. After several years of use this is the first time I can say consistently the proposed routing is off. Has anyone else noticed this.?
Happened Twice Now
I first noticed something similar following the 2011.40 update. I deleted and recreated the problematic route(s) and left well enough alone.
Then it happened again after the update to 2012.10, so this time I did a hard reset and the route(s) I checked no longer do strange things like traverse waterways instead of bridges!
Just remember to save your personal POIs and Routes before doing the reset so they can be restored afterward.
Looks like I'm joining the others who advocate a hard reset following a map update.
Similar issue on a 770
Since the last update, I also noticed some unusual routing on my 770, telling me to go home through other (somewhat longer) ways. This is not consistent though but happens occasionally. I had not noticed that before the update. I will try a hard reset.
