Blue Collection Boxes from the USPS

Does anyone know a free POI database that has all of the Blue Collection Boxes on the streets/sidewalks for the USPS?
Thanks!

I Wonder If..

Have you contacted the main Post Office in your area for that information? I would think they might have the locations.

Post office locations

This is a USPS site showing all locations of their offices

Hope this helps you

The Question

The question made me curious, and seems like a handy poi file to have. But alas, I found this on the USPS site and it explains why a comprehensive list might be difficult to do:

"What factors determine where Collection Boxes are installed?

The number of street collection boxes installed, their location, and the frequency of collection service depend primarily on the mailing patterns and the volume of mail generated by the individual community. As these and other local conditions change, collection service is modified and adapted accordingly. For decisions on specific collection boxes, post offices will apply the applicable Postal Operations Manual guidance.

The United States Postal Service relies upon its postmasters to make the decision on where these boxes should be deployed as they are in the best position to review their use and value to the community. If you have any questions or concerns regarding Collection Boxes, please contact the postmaster of your local Post Office™."

It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.

Try this

That list says "Many of these locations are historical and no longer function as a post office."

I think the op was looking for current, functioning USPS collection boxes (and not just Post Offices?).

I caught that but...

I caught that but it "may" also contain current post offices. I thought that might be an option for the OP because the OP most likely won't get the blue boxes.
