Hello to all

I recently recieved a Nuvi 360 as a 50th birthday present from my wonderful wife.

I love it, that's all I can say.

I would like to learn more about POI's so I will look around.

Thanks

Happy Birthday (be lated).....

Hope you enjoy your new Nuvi...
You can find a lot of good info here... I did.

Looking for new things I can do with my Nuvi

One thing I liked about my Nuvi was that I could use it "right out of the box"
But with that said I am looking forward to some of the things that I don't know the Nuvi can do...

I am also looking forward to POI's

Can someone point me to a good (free) POI download that will help me to understand what they are and how they can help me in my "day to day"

I really want to get Speed Camera POI's but am not ready to spend the money. I live in Sacramento CA and don't even know if there are any here.

Thanks for any info.

Click on the POI files tab

Click on the POI files tab and they are in categories as well as alphabetic.. pick what you feel you want, each of us have different needs.. and as for any information regarding constructing poi's just go to the search button and put in what you are looking for, there is so much info on this site that by searching you will then learn how to use this site for future references. If still having difficulties, don't hesitate in asking for help!!!

Everyone has their own favorites. Just look through the list at http://www.poi-factory.com/poifiles/alpha until you find something that interests you. If you want to create one, open some up with Notepad to get an idea what they should look like; then try writing one with Excel. Grab a copy of 'POI Verifier' Here, it's free.

Most people feel it's well worth the $5 just to have a website like this. If you're like most of us, you'll be donating some cash to this cause even when you don't have to.

You can check out what areas the red light camera file covers at http://www.poi-factory.com/node/1353.

that's one of the best things about the Nuvi... of course, you'll need to install a thing or two if you want to update it but that's expected.
