Need Free Web page text capture batch program

I'd like to speed my data capture from highlight, copy and paste of 60 url page screens to be a batch save process on a Win7 PC.

Do you know of a program that will help?

A sample URL is:

Free Web Page Text Capture - Cute PDF Writer

I went to your sample URL and saved it with the FREE program I use extensively. The result was a single PDF file showing 6 pages from your URL. The program I use is actually loaded onto your computer (including Win7) as a Printer. When at any site you want a copy of, simply click on FILE at the left top of your screen and select PRINT. Then choose the Cute PDF Writer from the listed choices of printers on your computer. You can then direct the output to the folder of your choice as well as give it a name of your choice.

NOTE: Once in awhile you will come across a web page that is too wide to save all of your information across the screen and the ends of the lines will be truncated when you try to view the saved file. You can remedy that situation by highlighting Cute PDF Writer from your printer choices, click on PREFERENCES, then from the Layout Tab of the popup, click on Advanced then change the Scaling to suit your needs. You might have to experiment here. I have reduced the scaling to as low as 50% to fit some pages properly.

You can download the Cute PDF Writer program from:

http://www.cutepdf.com/products/cutepdf/writer.asp

Be sure to download and install the FREE accompanying converter, GPL Ghostscript V8.15.
I hope this helps you.
Of course, you will also need the FREE Adobe Acrobat Reader (or similar) program to view the PDF result.

Sorry, I just reread your post and the above is not really what you are looking for; however, I will leave it posted because it is a useful program.

Kudos to all at POI Factory - a great site!

Me too

I just did the monthly update on my Massage Envy file and found all of the 700 locations were in a different order this month making it extra hard.

Maybe a web capture program would help speed things up.

I also use and love CutePDFWriter.

Next, you should get Foxit Reader

I use this PDF tool in place of Adobe as it seems to me to be both faster and easier to use. One of the tools (the icon is a page with eyeglasses over it) creates a "text" version of the page (wish it did the whole document). I was able to paste the text into both Excel and Wordpad and then manipulate it.

Let us know if this is close to what you are looking for.

Web page capture

Check out iesnapshot. It does a nice job saving single or multiple pages to a PDF file. You can even have it automatically open a list of URl's and capture each page. I use it to get statistics of laser printers on a network by simply capturing from a list of URL's.
google iesnapshot or use this link (it is NOT a demo !!): http://www.accalio.com/Free-trial-downloads.251.0.html

I think it looks for the "Done" status on the bottom left of the ie window, and sometimes it messes up. You can also specify the portion of screen you want to capture.

I'll be

If you're looking to save

If you're looking to save the pages as HTML for later extraction, WinHTTrack (http://www.httrack.com) is the answer.

Web page text capture

Let me know if you don't find something that works for you. It would not be difficult for me to come up with something that downloads and saves the HTML files.

Extracting the information from the HTML may be interesting.

If it helps with creating and maintaining POI files out here, and people find it helpful, I'd be happy to create a utility to do this.
