where?

When you say you have files on your GPS, we need to know where.

By way of explanation, on my 765T, when I hook it up to my computer and look at it (as a new disk drive), I see this directory listing
Audible (a folder)
Garmin (a folder)
JPEG (a folder)
autorun.inf

When I look in the Garmin folder, I find a POI folder; and in that folder is the poi.gpi file that is built by POILoader EVERY TIME IT RUNS.

A .gpi file is what is built by POILoader from .csv and/or .gpx files. All of the .csv and/or .gpx files within the folder ( and one level of subfolders) you point POILoader to are combined into a new poi.gpi file within the POI folder.

You don't need CSV file in

You don't need CSV file in the GPS device. GPI file is a result of importing the content of CSV (text) file into your Garmin GPS by using POI Loader.

It's safe to delete the CSV file from your Garmin GPS but it won't do any harm if you want to leave it there.

When you ru poiloader the

When you ru poiloader the csv or gpx file is convereted to a gpi.It appears you used the renaming method for the Redlight cameras to prevent it from being over written when running poiloader.
