trying

trying to make poi's on my c330

oooohh...

I see. I am not much of a fan of S&T, but have it as it's what my guys use at work, and I use DeLorme's Street Atlas as it produces the POIs or waypoints in a more user friendly format. I take those into ExpertGPS, then dump them to my GPS unit. I haven't tried interfacing with S&T so can't be of help there, sorry.

help for the helpless

Believe me, I've been helpless in dealing with that foresaken software. I've tried without any luck to export those pushpin files into a csv file, and if you find a way to do that... well I couldn't kiss you cause it's the internet, but I'd owe you a beer at minimum.

The company I work for, for the last 22 years, builds cellular telephone systems for the major players such as Cingular, T-Mobile, SunCom, etc. We built almost all of the original infrastructure for ATTWS. I'm stuck between my staff who use DeLorme's Street Atlas and allows import/export of almost any format of POI files, and Bechtel and the carrier companies who use S&T. It's been a futile battle trying to convince them that S&T, while pleasing to the eye, is a programmer's nightmare.

Anyway, help the helpless here, if you can find a way to export your push pins into CSV, I'd love ya for it and wouldn't even ask you for your bud light...

S&T Waypoints

Have you tried GPS Utility? I have used it to get pushpin locations from S&T and import them to my IFinder. GPSU has an option to import S&T .est files, and extracts them as waypoints.

do you know a business called rf design in philadelphia?

Is that from this site:
http://www.gpsu.co.uk/download.html

I've never heard of that software before, but the company posting it is from the UK so it wouldn't be surprising that I hadn't heard of it.

Thanks for the tip, I just downloaded it and now will get my weekly injection of new/free software...lol...

GPS Utility

by the way, not sure when you downloaded your last copy but I noticed the copy I got was just released in early November, so if your's is older than that you might want to go there and upgrade.
