Help! (Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monuments)

I posted the POI "Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monuments (CSV Format)" at http://www.poi-factory.com/node/32279 on 02/14/2011, but when I'm logged out, the page says "Access denied. You are not authorized to access this page."

Is anyone else able to access the POI "Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monuments (CSV Format)" page?

Vince, I also was blocked

Vince,

I also was blocked out. Must be a problem on the other side of the "wall".

Think the problem is accessing the POI file itself

I also was denied access to the POI file

No links work

Is this a file you created Vince? It might not be posted yet. It does not show up in the list of Poi's.

I am not sure why that file

I am not sure why that file is in the moderation queue, I will take a look later this week.

Lost my "Diners Drive Ins and Dives" File

I just down loaded a updated "Diners Drive-Ins and Dives" file .OV2 format to my Tom Tom device folder as I have in the past. I saved the new file in the "USA and Canada" folder. It looked like ny device was "updating". I disconnected the Tom Tom from the computer and can access any catagory "Point of Interst" and I can see the Diners Drive-Ins and Dives icon. However when I select the Icon the device says "No POI Found". I successfully added several other categories from the web site and they work great. What am I missing?

Dunno how Tom Tom's work..but

You posted this in the wrong place. You should create new content in Tom Tom.

Not Totally Wrong

While his question does have some relevance here because it could be a fault in the file itself, it could also be an issue with his Tom Tom and should also be referenced over on that section of the forums.

Still not accessible

The Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monuments file at http://www.poi-factory.com/node/32279 still is not accessible. Would you mind taking a look at it. Thanks.

OK, I think I figured out the problem.

OK, I think I figured out the problem.

.csv files normally use four columns. If the .csv file descriptions contain quote marks (") and the file is uploaded into a Markdown input format (as opposed to a Filtered HTML format) and the quote marks (") in the .csv (comma separated value) file are followed by commas, those commas cause the text in the description in the file to be place in columns 5, 6, 7, etc in the .csv format file after the file is uploaded. As a result, the downloaded file will incorrectly employ columns 5, 6, 7, etc, even though the .csv files should use only the first four columns. A reason for this might be that quote marks (") have meaning in Markdown input formats.

Anyway, I removed the quote marks from the .csv file and uploaded a new .csv file. Hopefully that will fix the problem.
