lat long for counties in usa states

ive looked thru the list of pois and found some states in here where they have counties by states,,,,but there all not here,,, question where can you find them.......id like to get all the counties and states...that cover tornado alley..and the remander of the states.....spring is comming and as a truck drive its good to know what counties are affected so i can plan ....or take cover..lol...tks
What do you want identified?
If you're looking for a single POI for each county, you'd have to be more specific. Do you want the geographical center point of the county? Or the county seat? Or are you looking for the county name to appear in each POI? Or something else altogether?
County Map overlay vs. County POI
I've thought about such a POI list, but I think it would be cumbersome to implement. What might be better would be a transparent map overlay that would contain county boundaries with only the county names printed in the center of each county. One would then have to use the map menu to switch off the detail map and turn on the county map which would lay on top of the base map. By zooming out to a 50 mile radius or more, you could see your position and direction of travel relative to the cities, major roads and counties around you.
I have such a map installed on my nüvi and it functions as described above, but it does not display the county names. It is available from GPSFileDepot, search for county map.
I would be interested if someone knows of a similar overlay that does display the county names.

I have a paper map of each state except HI & AK. Works for me.
