Updating second GPS to the same map

I have two life time European maps ready for two GPS. I have transferred the new update to my PC using one of the GPS.

Now, can I avoid downloading the same map from Garmin to the second GPS/PC, but transfer the already downloaded map on the PC to the second GPS? If yes: How?

Thanks for any response.

double update

After doing my update it seems that during installation update is now checking possibility of update by itself. So try just to connect second unit, let him show in system and then run update again. After it detects unit it should connect with Garmin server to check unit for possible update and then do it. So just like for first unit minus downloading map from Garmin.

If this will not work, then log into your MyGarmin account and under map updates (on page from which you can download maps) you should have your new map listed with Product Key. You will be asked about it, so just paste it into installation program when asked and it will go as usual.

Mapsource?

Are you using Mapsource? When I downloaded the new map I chose the option to save it to my nüvi and also to the computer. I connected my 78S to the computer, went to Mapsource, selected the entire map, and then sent the mapset to the 78S.
