Is it OK to (change name of POI file)

change the name of a POI file? I have made a file that has been published, "Fly Shops in California", and was wondering if the name should be changed to "California Fly Shops" so it is listed along with other California files in the alphabet list of files! Any problems with doing this? redface question

Regards,

Norm

Just edit your file and change the name.

Not...

Nothing wrong in my eyes. But if you have any problems with a file any way/shape or form. Always ask Miss POI.

Name Change

If I'm understanding you correctly, I don't think just changing the name of the uploaded file to an existing project page will accomplish what you want. I think you will have to contact Miss POI and ask her to change the title of the project page. That is what determines the alphabetical sort order.

I change all the names and

I change all the names and get rid of the hyphens and such

Changing a file name

Why not right click on the file name, select rename, and than change to what you want. As long as you keep the e4xtension, ie: .csv or .gpx your computer or GPS doesn't care.

Nope.

If his file is up on the site, he can change the title of the page simply by hitting the Edit tab. I personally have done it at least three times for Historic Ships, when I was putting version numbers in the title instead of leaving them in the description and filename.
