Blizzard (2010)

Its another Winter and again we are ready to get hammered by a Blizzard. Here in New York we are expected to get around 12 - 16 inches +.
Hows the weather in your area?

It is unashamedly cold, even threatening snow midweek - but hoping the snow remains in the mountains and there is no "touchdown" snow.
My thoughts and prayers to those presently enduring the blizzard in the East Coast.
Spelling corrections
This should be a place where anyone should feel safe posting. No one should be corrected on their spelling or grammar in this forum.
We are a community of different people from all sorts of backgrounds. Some of us have better spelling then others. If it were not for fire fox you guys would be correcting my spelling.
I find this type of behavior a bit petty and don't want to see it in this community.

who cares if it is a body of water or not. What do you say about the Bay Area in San Francisco.

About 5 inches of snow in piedmont area of Virginia where I went for holidays. But in the mountains, only about an inch, but 60 mph winds and 22F as a high.

But it's receding in Missouri. Got about 5" of snow early on the 24th in the central part of the state here.
Was great for the kids, for a "White Christmas" . . .

White Christmas in St. Louis - not much snow compared to what the East coast is getting. Maybe 4 inches - been a bit cold - 22 degrees now but, its supposed to be in the 40's later this week.
Grew up in Minnesota - so this is not bad but, it is amazing how cold 20 degrees feels now. I have worked outside in -40. Of course that was 30+ years ago!

I was loving the snow fall / blizzard until I had too shovel out my drive way this morning
same here in NJ man ... I spent almost an hour digging my car out of snow bank in a so called parking lot ...
[would post a pic if I knew how to do it here]
then a "short" trip for groceries turned out to be nearly a 2hr trip ... helping 3 other stuck in snow (or on ice) drivers on the way ... lovely.
now sitting back home and continuing to be sick as formerly.

Where in the bay do you live.It is the bay area Tampa Bay is not a city but a body of water.If you are going to comment on something know what you are talking about,learn how to spell also gray is spelled gray not grey.
So... Green Bay is in Lake Michigan, but tell that to a Packers fan. And grey is spelled grey in Canada, but I will accept your misspelling!
It's the Christmas season
Not Bad Travelling Across the Across the Canadian Prairies
We are travelling 1100 kilometers back home after Christmas. It looks like we lucked out and missed everything! Heavy winds and blowing snow on the Trans Canada, but noting like they got out east.
The Christmas season means a lot of people are on the road. I am hopeful that everyone will drive safely and make it home to celebrate the New Year in warmth and comfort.

I feel for all those who have been affected by the blizzard conditions in this series of storms. It looks like they all start out as tons of RAIN here in the Pacific Northwest.

And if you are going to talk about a place talk about a real place,yes I am picky about St.Petersburg I am a fifth generation Floridian and we have (Tax payers) have spent a lot of money on a stadium in St.Petersburg,to promote St.Petersburg not a place that doesn't exist.
And to promote St. Petersburg the (Tax payers) on the other side of the bay with “grey matter in the brain” named the team Tampa Bay Rays , I guess they forgot the idea of promoting St. Petesburg.
