Any noticeable differences now that Magellan switched to TeleAtlas maps?
TeleAtlas maps - not so good.
I've seen multiple reports to the effect that the TeleAtlas maps are causing problems; poorly-chosen or downright absurd routings, primarily. I tried a friend's 1700 which had TeleAtlas maps myself, and it continually tried to direct me to routes that were anything but optimal. I was running it side-by-side with my 1475T with 2010 Spring (NavTeq) maps, and the 1475 was clearly doing a better job. Even my old 3140 could come up with a more useful route than the 1700. I won't be buying any additional map updates until I see confirmation that Magellan has got this well and truly fixed...and based on my experience with them so far, I'm figuring on not buying any updates for at least 6 months.
Anyone else having problems?
Anyone else experiencing Magellan issues with the TeleAtlas Maps? Just curious how wide spread the integration of Magellan software and TeleAtlas has become....
