thoughts on the garmin 1300 LMT from best buy?

can anyone give me a good reason to buy this one over the other.. Its on sale and I know little about GPS

Check Garmin page

You may want to look at the Garmin page https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134 . Use the feature tab on left to list what you want in a gps first. Also click on the 1300 and look at the specs. No Bluetooth and does not show the speed limit on the screen. It really depends on what you want.

How much is it on sale for

How much is it on sale for now?

I bought one on Black Friday for $129, well actually $150 which included the leather case and bean bag mount. I ended up returning it because I really don't need it since I have 4 GPS units, and my Android phones provide navigation as well.

But if it's your first unit, then it's a good starter GPS and you should really get a lot of good use out of it.

re: thoughts on the garmin 1300 LMT from best buy?

Hi.

I purchased the same unit about 2 months ago, and I am very happy with it. It is a far improvement over my TOMTOM ONE. It acquires satellites much faster, is easier to read, and can keep track of where you have been. My only complaint is that the battery life is relatively short. However, I rarely unplug it, so it isn't much of an issue.

Cheers,

Tyler

what price?

Newegg just had it on sale with LM but not T for $78. If you want traffic and are in an area that has traffic support then make your own choice based on whatever the price is, but not all areas have traffic support and some don't need or want it.
