Miss POI - I believe you should [somehow] put a special link that is titled "VOTE HERE" (in large bold type) on the main page. I believe a large number of people that can vote will overlook this somewhat hidden thread and NOT cast their vote.

If you can get the VOTE HERE [linked] title to really standout so it catches people's attention (e.g. wild color, flashing, etc.), all the better.

Just a thought...

We will work on this in the morning. I was also starting to think about that also.

My favorite years for muscle cars is 1965-1970. 69 was a really great year.

I like the Barracuda, Camaro, Shelby Mustang. After those years the cars started to lose the body shape that I like.

When I was little my dad had a Model T and we were part of the Portland Model T club.

I was exposed to some really beautiful cars, he was also into muscle cars. My dad is a diesel mechanic that used to work on Semi trucks, now he is working on tractors.

One of my favorite engines from that era was the Ford 406. It was only 24" from exhaust port to exhaust port and fit so nicely into so many different bodies for builders.

One of my wishes was to take one and shoehorn it into one of the little sports car bodies such as an Austin Healey or the ultimate a Mini Cooper. (And yes, I had one of the '63 Coopers that ran on 10" doughnuts.)

1967 Pontiac 2+2, 428 cu. in., 4-speed Hurst on the floor. Gold, 2-door black hardtop.

That sucker could GO! But, it had a "drinking problem." It would only run good on Sunoco 260 (their highest octane blend). Good thing gas was cheaper back then. Could never afford to feed that car at today's gas prices.

We will be working on it today, I spent all day yesterday researching for today's camera update.

Jon has been working on getting a new server over the last few days and switching everything over to the new server so I have been letting him focus on that.

Sounds like you both have been busy! Good luck with the new server and getting everything working smoothly.

Jon is happy with the voter turnout for right now. He will look at doing something in a few weeks if it looks like we are not getting the numbers that we should.

Yes, I see that voting has picked up but...I still bet a number of people are overlooking this thread.

Here's something you could do that would catch everyone's attention - change the title to this thread to: ALL POI MEMBERS - LOOK AT THIS!!!
Then, whenever this thread appears in the "Active Forum Topics" it will prompt them to read it...and vote.

Or you could just start a new thread with a catchy title and the vital links...lock the thread and sticky it in the Active Forum Topics list.

Just a couple more thoughts!
