Is there any way to create time based speed alerts on any of the units out there? For example a speed zone set to 20mph for 7-9am and 3-5pm for school zones?
Not sure
That would sure help in our area. I could even just make a personal one if there was a way.

Short answer no as far as a time frame.

Yes
When driving in a school zone between 7-9 am and 3-5 pm just slow to 20 mph.
Alternative; there's a school zone POI available. Load it into your GPS then set a speed alert to notify you when you're in a zone driving above 20 mph. If hours are other than those you mentioned you can simply ignore the alert.

I'm not looking to race
I'm not looking to race through school zones, just an added reminder to be more aware that I am approaching or in one. Looking to better our lives through technology. Your suggestion would be like going back to the times when using a radar detector that goes off with every automatic door opener.
