I had been to Best Buy recently and we found there GPS of competitive brands. The only thing that was interesting in the competitive brand compared to Garmin was that it had a bigger size screen for light vehicles( as it becomes easier for older people to read Large print even on screen). Its cost was around Canadian 200 (on sale) . The only thing lacking in that model was it did not have blue tooth.
Is Garmin doing active consumer research to cater to these type of customers who want larger screens plus bluetooth at reasonable prices.
See the Garmin 1490T, or LMT with lifetime maps. 5" screen and BT.
This one has a 5" screen with Blue Tooth. Not sure how wide you were talking about.
A plus - free map upgrades every 4 months and free traffic for life - not sure whether that's the nüvi or you.
Come to think of it - I'm seriously thinking of getting one for me and giving my nüvi 660 to my son.
Unless the OP was talking about the 7" Magellan. That is one HUGE sucker!
yup it was the 7" magellan
The 1490T is 5 inches with bluetooth. Nice size.
