Not a bad price. Too bad

Not a bad price. Too bad they don't have the same price here in Canada.

Look again at costco.ca for 1490LMT

The 1490LMT is currently $279.99CDN incl. shipping & handling.

I went to a Costco store in Ottawa yesterday and picked up a 1490LMT for $269.99

Amazon cheaper

Amazon.com has it for $249.99

.

Not for Canada. The exchange would make it way higher. Besides, they won't ship to Canukistan!

Jeff...... Nuvi 2460, Nuvi 2595

amazon has 1490t w maps for $249

http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-5-Inch-Portable-Navigator-Lifet...

This has been the price for several days; don't know how much longer it will be valid.

Price drop ?

With the recent price drop does that mean the 1490 is soon destined to be discontinued?

2360

I still think the 'sleeper' is the 2360 series that's coming out. https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=134&pID=69452

I was going to see if it's out & on sale anyplace nearer to the holidays, but it's already got a reasonable MSRP, imo. But that was before I got my 295W with Wi-Fi (nuLink). Now I'm waiting for a 2360 with wi-fi surprised

What I REALLY want is my 765T with VR & nuLink, though (at the 2360 price point!). wink

It's about the Line- If a line can be drawn between the powers granted and the rights retained, it would seem to be the same thing, whether the latter be secured by declaring that they shall not be abridged, or that the former shall not be extended.

I purchased the Garmin 1490T at Costco (Canada) for $239.00 about three weeks ago. Costco (Canada) now seems to be carring the 1490LMT for $279.00

Great deal and for many the additional $40 for lifetime maps is well worth it. Personally I only keep my GPS for on average year and a half, so I can do without it.

1490T Costco US

Costco US has it for $249.00 Free Shipping until Tomorrow. It does include the lifetime maps update card.

Got One

It's down to $249 now so I couldn't resist. Nice size screen and the LMU is a great feature. Updating right now and going to run it all next week.
Price at Future Shop was $399, Best Buy was $249 but they had sold out, so Costco it was, lots of stock there.

Amazon prices

The best I can find on Amazon today is $230.45. North of the border we do not get the free shipping. sad
Tried the 1490 today on my run to work and found that the "Junction View" works in Montreal. Sound is also much clearer and there is marked improvement in the Bluetooth phone quality.
