Mac gaining ground, so why doesn't Garmin see that?

I just bought my Garmin 1450LMT yesterday, and was a bit peeved at Garmin's lack of Mac support. As a result I did a bit of research, and sent the following to Garmin:
I just bought a new 1450LMT yesterday only to find out that Garmin seems to fully support customers that run Windows on their computers, but haphazardly supports Mac OS X. This does not make sense. Especially since 1 out of 25 computer owners run Mac, and is on the increase. Additionally, 1 out of 4 people entering college now buy a Mac, and will need a GPS that meets their needs.
With the ever increasing competition in the GPS market, do you really want people to know that you consider/treat Mac users as second rate citizens?

I hope Garmin listens.........
Macs are fine for me...
We have four Macs running at our home and one PC. The PC is only used on those few occasions needed applications are not available for the Mac. I can't imagine why anyone would prefer Windows 7 over Mac OS 10.6. I can see why one would prefer a PC if cost or availability of needed applications are issues.

Mac support a plus
Just bought a Garmin and was happy to find out that it has Mac support. No complaints so far. My first GPS was a Megellan which didn't have Mac support and was a factor in my latest GPS purchase. Replaced the Magellan with a TomTom which had Mac support. The TT had some features I liked but I missed some features that the Magellan had ...and the ease of navigation. The Garmin seems much more like my old Magellan, as far as those lost features and navigating the device (mush easier than the TT, IMHO) only better and with the latest innovations like 'lane assist'.
That is all that is stopping me.

Yep, if it weren't for the cost or availability of needed applications, I would get a Mac.
