Just a suggestion for future reference, my Wife is a Pogo fanatic and 2 years ago we went on a Pogo tour through Chicago, Kentucky, Philly and Watertown. If anybody was to go on a trip why not make it a POI tour and meet up with people from this site.

It should be held in The Inner Borough -- Brooklyn -- and in a venue with parking.

I was born in B'klyn and can't think of anyplace with ample parking that is safe to park.
The whole borough has changed in the last few years.
There is the aquarium in Coney Island with a lot of parking and a lot to see.

Queens, its safe and plenty of parking....just give us the coordinates!

I can do that. Am surprised nobody has thought about it till now. If planned far enough in advance, I can most likely be there. I can think of no better place to have it than New York!

No, I am goiung to be setting something up but I just been busy right now tring to find a new Job..

I am being let go by end of this month - yep, we been outsourced..

So sometime in Oct, I will be planning something to do and go.. If anyone has any ideas, that would be great..

there are so many places to go but it needs to be so that everyone can go to, I know some people wont go to bars, and even some people cant eat at certen places.. I want to make this so everyone will want to go.

Governors Island is open every Friday - Sunday through October 10

it has to be a place with sufficient parking....Central Park is a nice place but its hell to park anywhere in the vicinity.

Plenty of parking at Alley Pond Park, and it's (relatively) easy to get to from the mainland or LI. If you don't know where it is, you might want to use a GPS.

If you go into Google Maps and enter "Alley Pond Park"
you will find it off the Cross Island Pkwy and Union Tpk. It has a pretty good size parking lot. It has has a ball field with bathrooms. Not a bad area (at least it was pretty good when I lived near there years ago.
If you are into metal detecting you will have a good time.
It was a civil war area and lots of old military items are still found there.

I think bobkz's idea of a "meet" was to meet other POI factory members. No frills, no fee, no entertainment. A cooler, a place to park and take a leak is all that I require. Alley Pond Park sounds good. What say ya'll...

good too see some my people were interested in the idea. i beleive that it is free and only available on sundays ( according to the site) if there are some people who arent quite interested the park still make a great meet up area and for those who dont know where it is lets put our gps to good use !

After all the stuff I have been tru these last past months, It will be a release to do this now.

All were great Ideas so lets see..

My 1st choice would be Rye Playland area since it is open all year around and there is a great Tiki Bar for food and drinks. Kids are welcome and there is a great Pier we can enjoy. Parking is free and a lot of room.

I was thinking of having it in the city but everyone is correct, no parking!

1 reason I am sugesting Rye is it is very easy to get to from most everywhere.. - its on I95 and folks from CT could even make it.

I would think that most of you would have a car or other vech. since you do have a GPS..

What does one think, The weather is still good and I want to move on this before it gets toooo cold.

If anyone is up for a POI-Factory Meet soon, We can do it maybe at Heartland Brewery located on the ground level of the Empire State Building. Anytime soon!

Also, If anyone is in the MidTown area of New York City (near the Empire State Building) let me know, we can meet up and chat .. This offer is good any weekday night after 5:00pm. If your out of town, I can give you some good ideas where to go and what to see here.
