I noticed the title for this topic and was reminded of the newspaper headlines that would appear in SimCity when things were going well. We're a pretty diverse group, so I'm sure this reference doesn't resonate with everyone; but I just had to share the thought.

I just found this site a couple of days ago and I have to say that I love it! I have found so many POIs that are useful in my job, like fuel locations and even the unusual attraction files. I am a long distance courier, so being able to load POIs is a big help to me. Thanx go out to the POI factory. Keep up the good work!

yea, this site is a useful forum to discuss about GPS and all of its uses such as know where all the speed cameras are at lol!

I'm still fairly new to the site, but definately have to agree with the above posts. Thanks to everyone and I hope to contribute quite a few poi's once I get my feet wet and figure out what I'm doing.

I like the way everybody looks at the postings -- no arguments and no rude comments! Everybody is trying to be helpful!

First of all welcome! I know each of you will enjoy this fascinating hobbie. Beware, it is habit forming.

It's interesting reading the new member comments, they almost mirror my very own initial thoughts when I landed here. Every now and then I'll run across one of my first few posts...lol well, enuff said bout that.
Anyway, don't be shy about asking any questions you may have. You may run across something you can't solve. You may think it's a silly or dumb question. We've all been there and that's how we've all learned, and that's why there are so many of us willing to help. We remember what it was like getting started. There are plenty of helpful and knowledgeable people willing to help and share ideas.

We do tend to have some fun along the way, but it's all good.

I just had to put my two cents in....When I was searhing for a site to learn about and download poi's..there were several, but this is the best. Great comments, suggestions and feedback and Miss POI and JM are very responsive and very quick.

Yup only took me 4 to 5 minutes to respond to this one;) I know I am a bit on a silly kick tonight.

I just found this site a week ago after upgrading to a nuvi 350 from a quest. Tons to learn and I thank you for your hard work. I just paid the $5 to get the red light download early too. Thanks for that option although I would gladly have given the donation anyway just for the content on this site alone. Thanks!

I have been computing for years and have never joined a discussion group. Besides the fact that I have a real interest in this discussion group, the moderators and all the contributors have not only been fun to read and learn, most have jumped in and educated me enough to really conribute to this site.

So to everyone, I say thanks.

When JM says he's Mayor Defacto, he's dead on. This is a community, not just website. Like any community, we don't always agree, but we agree a lot more than we disagree.

We're all neighbours that are there to help our fellow neighbours.

Even after I 1st posted this on 4/10/2007, All the comments and feeling about this site has not changed. I have visited this site almost everyday since I 1st joined and will continue to do so!
