Interesting yes, but I would worry that there would be residue, despite its claims.

A friend has the bean bag and I think I'd lean more toward that than this pad.

But I'm often wrong. grin

From the evaluations it looks like this is questionable. People seem to say it is either great or doesn't work. Considering some of the positive comments are shills it doesn't sound too good.

There's a reason they are che..inexpensive. You throw them out after a year or so. From what i see, there are two points of failure, the pad itself and the suction cup you stick to it.

The Garmin mounts, the original and the newer mount have the gooseneck in a permanently attached part. No suction cup to leak and pop off.

suction cup

My suction cup has stayed securely attached to my bean bag mount a couple of years. Its tossed under my seat whenever I park my car.
